Where to find live Japanese Geisha Dance entertainmen?
Planning a batchulere party and want to know where i can hire a Japanese Geisha girl for live entertainment. It's Tea Party. And would like to have a Geisha girl for a tea ceremony or to greet guests. Please help
You probably can't. First of all, a real Geisha (not Geisha girl, just Geisha) would be incredibly expensive to hire. Second, if you're outside of Japan, you're probably not going to find a real Geisha anywhere near you. However, you might find people who portray/perform as Geisha. Apparently there are three in St. Louis (website here: http://bonitaharmon.tripod.com/index.html ). Even if you don't live nearby, you might consider contacting them anyway to see if they know of any similar performers near you. Another option would be to check with Japanese restaurants or cultural organizations near you or near where you'll be having your party to see if they know of any people who could meet your needs.
