There Are More Than Just Pop Tunes To Listen To

There is no limit in music selections today. Lots of fans say that music has died, but they just aren’t looking in the best places. There is much more to music than the latest new singer that is being played on MTV.

There are lots of websites that have undiscovered and awesome music from many cultures.  You might find out that you like the didgeridoo sound from Australia. If you decide to, you can also listen to the sounds that your parents liked in clear format.

The ladies of the thirties and forties can now be heard better than ever before. It sounds as if you are in the same place or ethereal world with them. You can even hear the tears rolling down their cheeks.

If you want to try something else, there is a musician named James Asher who always has something new. He is constantly traveling in search of cool sounds. He enjoys all sounds from those of Europe to those of Africa. There is also a whole new world akin to his songs called World Party recordings. These recordings allow you to discover the best from around the world.

You should also try going back to the godfathers of rock for a cool song. You should begin with a Rolling Stones vinyl record to get that scratchy sixties feel, or you can opt to download the Stones onto your computer. If you decide you dig the sound of record albums, you can still find some downloads on the web that have not “ruined” the sounds of the Beatles or Frank Sinatra, and have left the original recordings as they were.

Record albums will always be the coolest medium to hear the classics in. You can spend a little fortune buying record albums, but if they are kept in clean condition, you will get returns on your initial purchases. Some albums may be in a family for generations, and keep getting passed on. After some time, many of the albums will become popular again.

There is certainly a group out there for everybody. It is fine to enjoy the latest band, but be sure you try some alternatives to what is being played on MTV. Try to hear a new band each week and see where the journey takes you. Search independent record companies’ websites. Don’t forget, Lady Gaga has been on the scene for just a year or two, and there was Madonna before her, and Cher before Madonna, and, well, there was always someone else first.
