What's the easiest way to tear apart an RV trailer? Most of one end was smashed by an enormous oak tree...
It has to be moved and the owner wants it torn down to the frame. I'm planning on stripping it of all it's valuable copper then using a sawzall and sledge to tear it down. It's a fairly large pull behind trailer with two slide outs. I'm wondering if there isn't a way to just unbolt it from the frame... Any advice is greatly appreciated!
no easy way. just elbow grease and care.
cant unbolt it from the frame, its not really a bolt on thing. you will spend more time getting to the bolts and screws and have to tear most of it down to get to them anyway.
the sliderooms can be removed, just by pulling off the interior facias and unbolting the slide rooms from the support arms, then just run them out until they fall out.
its worth removing ac units, fridges, etc and putting them up on ebay or selling locally. they are expensive parts and if working, worth a bit of money.
other than that, start at the top and work down. as said, the aluminum siding is worth a fair bit.
