Townhouse For Calico Critters
If you have girls between the age of 3 and 8, you have most likely heard of the Calico Critters. They are on the top 15 list of best selling toys this year. These are the adorable mini creatures who live in a world that is very similar to ours.
The animal land has a entire range of little figures to collect from the other species. Living on Cloverleaf Corners, they are just a complete hit with young girls. The original name of the series means "from the forest" hence why the creatures are all what you would expect to find in the woods - cats, rabbits, bears and mice. The community is made up of the separate families. Little girls love collecting the different families. Calico Critters have been around for such a long time, it is possible you or your friends may have played with them.
So what do you get for your $80? The Calico Critters Townhome is a minature version of a real Townhouse. You can choose to have either a four or five bedroom Townhouse as a room divider is part of the packet. Don't forget the 2 AA batteries if you want the lights to turn on.
Is this a purchase you should make? If you have young girls who love to play with dolls, this is the home to buy. Because there are so many different items to collect, you will never have to worry about what to buy for a birthday or Christmas again. In addition to furniture accessories, there are cars, trailers and houses.
The Townhouse does not come wth any characters or accessories. If your daughter is new to the Critters family, you should buy one or two characters for the Townhome. The Calico Critters Fisher Cat family is very popular and has quite a reputation for house building and vegetable gardening. You get two parents and two children. Or you could choose from any of the other families in the range such as the Rabbit family, Buttercup Cat family etc. Each family comes with removable clothes and a personalized biography. Accessories such as furniture or a car also make nice gifts if anyone else is wondering what they can buy for your girl.
Although this set was designed with little girls in mind, I wouldn't be surprised if your little boy also liked to play with the set. They appeal to those who love nature and families and that applies to young boys as well as girls. Supplies could be limited for this product as it has made the top ten toy list this year. I've seen it on Amazon but it's availability could change.
