"My Elemental Muse of Tar"?
She watches me sit at this lonely desk,
the estranged epicenter of the earth,
as i meditate miles from the shore
drowning in the tar of meter and rhyme.
Unaware was I of her existence
till she alighted upon my struggle
and called forth creations from the tar pit;
matter and monoliths formed on command.
unbroken egg yolks, embryos appeared
surfing the tar and diving in its depths;
elemental power spawned of the page.
Not bad. Either I have come around to your style or you have stooped to my level. Either way I am glad.
